Paul Thomas Harris Passes

LEXINGTON —Paul Thomas Harris, 69, passed August 29, 2007. Funeral services will be on Friday at 2 p.m. at Community Baptist Church; Rev. Brian Workman and the Rev. Barry Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery. Born in Randolph County on March 27, 1938, to Charlie Thomas and Maude Lambeth Harris. Preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert Edward Harris. On Dec. 7, 1985, he married the former Lessie Mae Martin who survives of the home. Surviving are a daughter, Susan H. Gallimore of Denton; son, Paul Douglas Harris of Lexington; sisters, Mary Evelyn Darr, Lois Hope Sechrist, and Betty Jean Hughes (Donald), Mildred Florence Cooper (Bobby) all of Thomasville, Jessie Gray Sellers (Bobby) and JoAnn Allred of Asheboro, Linda Carolyn Owen (Dwight) and Helen Jeanette Briles (Lawrence) of Lexington; Brothers, John Lee Harris (Beulah) of Thomasville, Charles Ross Harris (Betty) of Asheboro, and Arthur Harris of Lexington; one grandchild, Susan LeAnne Gallimore; and one great-grandchild, Skylar Paige Towery; stepdaughters, Debbie Ewing (Brian) of Trinity, Shellia Hayworth (Bruce) and Susan Farnsworth of High Point; stepsons, John Turner (Linda) of Cedar Square, and Robert Turner (Scarlette) of the U.S. Army in Iraq; step grandchildren, Anthony Hayworth, Ian Hayworth, Michael Jenkins, Cheyanne Newsome; and step great grandchildren, Lindsay Hayworth, Summer Hayworth, and Jordan Hayworth.-JC Greens
