Gene Briles Passes Away

LEXINGTON-Walter Eugene “Gene” Briles, 61 passed on April 30, 2007. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM May 4th in Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Pastor Clyde Akers and Rae French officiating. Inturnment will be at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Born in Davidson County on October 26, 1945 to Staton Briles and Dorothy Young Briles. Preceded in death by his father. Surviving are his wife, Vicki Barker Briles of the home, daughters, Stephanie Foley and fiancé Ronnie Bowman of Thomasville and Amanda Barber and fiancé Jason Lilly of Lexington. Three grandchildren, Dustin Foley & friend, Kirsten Watson of Charlotte; Chance Hailey and Lane Hailey both of Lexington. His mother of Thomasville and brothers, Staton “ June Bug” Briles of Thomasville and Bill Briles of Lake Charles, LA and sister Tina Hulon of Thomasville. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington and at other times at the home on Owens Rd. Memorials may be directed to Nazareth Children’s Home, P. O.
