Elizabeth “Betty” Briles

Elizabeth A. Briles (nee Quigg) age 81, resident of Franklinville, N.J. passed away at her home on Friday, August 22, 2025.

Wake: on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the R.C. Church of the Nativity, 2677 Delsea Drive, Franklinville, NJ 08322. Funeral mass will be on Monday at 11:15 AM at the church. Entombment to follow at All Saints Cemetery, Franklin Township, N.J.

Born on February 9, 1944, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late William and Alice Quigg.

Surviving, her husband Robert Briles, wed on May 20, 1967. Children, Robert and his wife Michelle, Kevin and his wife Kimberley, Timothy and his wife Kristy, and Kristine and her husband Sean. Grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kevin Jr., Jacob, Robert, Shannon, Kacey, Patrick, and Conor.

Denny Briles

Dennis "Denny" Briles, 72, of Lewis, Iowa, died Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Open visitation, with no family present, will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Thursday, August 28th and Friday, August 29th at Roland Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, August 30th at the Lewis Community Center. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Lewis.

Dennis Ray was born on May 10, 1953, in Atlantic, Iowa, the son of Raymond Lloyd and Nellie (Williams) Briles. On October 14, 1973, he married Deborah Krueger at the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Atlantic, Iowa.


He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Nellie Briles; father-in-law, Lyle Krueger; grandchildren in infancy, Rygel Marcus and Chiana Elizabeth; sister, Shirley Anderson; brother-in-law, Phil Anderson; sister-in-law, DeLila "De" Briles; and niece and nephew in infancy, Zoey and Zeek Peterson.


Denny is survived by his wife of 51 years, Debbie Briles; children, Stephanie (Christopher) Cox, Tricia Briles, and Steven Briles; grandchildren, Taylor (Kyrstin), Blake, Ember, River, and Cheraya; great-granddaughter, Teagan; sister, Donna (Joe) Eblen; brother, Melvin (Connie) Briles; mother-in-law, Marilyn Stein; his four-legged friend, Dollie; and many extended family and friends.

Willie" Bill" Lee Albertson

Willie" Bill" Lee Albertson, age 79, of Trinity, North Carolina passed Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held Monday, August 4, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations of High Point, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Cemetery of High Point, NC.

Bill was born June 8, 1946, in Guilford County; a son of the late Robert Glenn Albertson and Dorothy Elizabeth Robbins. 

Preceded Bill's death are his three sisters; Josephine, Shirley and Lucille and two brothers; Robert and Don.

Surviving to cherish Bill's life are his wife of 50 years, Kay Albertson, his daughter, Angela Albertson, three sisters; Ann, Georgia and Frances and one brother; Frank and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Albertson's great grandmother is Elizabeth Rebecca Briles Robbins

Connie Louise Parrish

Connie Louise Parrish, 59, of Asheboro passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025 at her home.

No formal services will be held at this time.

Connie was born August 5, 1965 in Guilford County to the late Dugan Parrish and Carol Haney Parrish. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Douglas Parrish.

Surviving is her daughter, Stacey Tanner and husband Shane; one son, Marcus Deweese; two granddaughters, Kailee Tanner and Addyson Tanner; her aunt, Dot Bradshaw. She also leaves behind her best friend, Linda Meinders.

Toby David Briles

Toby David Briles was born June 19, 1967, in Richardson, TX and passed on July 13, 2025, at 58 years of age.

An informal celebration of life on August 2, 2025, at 1:30pm. at 15263 E. St. Hwy 21, Bryan TX 77808.

Toby is survived by his sister, Gayla Briles, nieces Jennifer, Marisa and Kalynn and his nephews-in-law Cody and Alvino.

He is preceded in death by his parents Tobe and Nancy Briles and siblings, Cynthia and Jeffrey Briles.

Barry Spencer Zachary Dies

Mr. Barry Spencer Zachary, 78, resident of Archdale, died July 9, 2025 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, at Marlboro Friends Meeting in Sophia with Ray Luther officiating. Visitation will immediately follow the service. Memorials may be directed to the Marlboro Friends Meeting at 2668 Marlboro Church Rd. Sophia, NC 27350.

He was born April 25, 1947, in High Point, NC, a son to Marler M. and Geraldine Marie Spencer Zachary. 

On August 23, 1969 he married the former Janice Briles who survives of the residence. Also surviving is his mother, Geraldine "Gerry" Zachary of High Point; his two sons, Todd Zachary (Karen) of Davidson and Brandon Zachary (Mandy) of Trinity; two brothers, Gary Zachary (Jeritta) of High Point and Rick Zachary of Thomasville; a sister, Marla Mullis (Gary) of Matthews; six grandchildren, Kirstin, Brianna, Kyndall, Yancey, Spencer and Ella Grace; and three great grandchildren, Raelynn, Landon and Eli.

Melissa Jane Briles Rich

Melissa Jane Briles Rich, age 48, of Asheboro passed away on July 2, 2025 at her home.

A celebration of Melissa’s life will be held at a later date.

Melissa was born in Portsmouth, VA on August 21, 1976. 

She is survived by her mother, Beverly Capps Allred of the home; father, William Briles, Jr. of Kentucky; brother, William “Billy” Briles of Kentucky; and sisters, Serena Williams and Crystal Briles both of Asheboro.

Oaklee Mae Blayton

Oaklee Mae Blayton, born and passed on June 26, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky.

 
A Memorial Gathering will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Memorial Service will be at 4:00 pm on Friday, at the funeral home.

Preceded in death by her great-grandmothers, Dorothy Briles and Dorothy White; great-grandfather, Walter Briles; and uncle, Carrington Griffin.

 
Surviving: her parents, Haylee Briles and Trevor Blayton, her sisters, Campbell Daniel, Aurora Green, and Sofie Green. Her grandparents, Amy Briles and Jamie Benock, Tammy Blayton-Jackson and Bubba Blayton, She is also survived by her great-grandparents, Kathy Crady, Charles "Dale" & Patty Mann, Marilyn & Henry Benock, and Maurice & Sandra Blayton.
