Christina Louise Briles

 

Christina Louise Briles passed away on November 8, 2025, in Ventura, California.

A private Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring of 2026.

Born Christina Louise Schwarz on August 16, 1944, in Los Angeles, California the daughter of Rev. Homer Schwarz AND Barbara W. Schwarz.

Christina was married to Charles Briles. and they had two sons, Jason and Michael.

Christina was preceded in death by her husband Viq Mccaslin.

She is survived by her brother Skip and his wife Joyce; sister Lynette and her husband Pete; daughter Jill and her husband Jon; son Jason and his wife Malaika, son Michael; grandchildren Kayla and her husband Ryan, Kirsten and her husband Jake, Maxwell and his wife Rainn, Alexandra, Jacoby, Ashlynn, Serenity, and Sebastian; as well as great-grandchildren Cade, Rhett, Remi, and Lucy-Lila, and many nieces and nephews.

Lois Lorraine Kirkpatrick

Lois Lorraine Kirkpatrick passed on September 2nd, 2021. There are no services listed in the notice.

She was born to Charles and Mary Briles on August 13th, 1931 in High Point, North Carolina. She married John Kirkpatrick on August 6th, 1965. She is preceded in death by her husband John Kirkpatrick and her twin daughters, Ira Jan Kennedy and Iris Jo Kennedy.

She is survived by her children Steve Kennedy (Patricia Artusi), Lynne D’Elia (Philip D’Elia), Ray Kirkpatrick (Vicki Huggett), Richard Kirkpatrick (Jennie Kirkpatrick), Cindy Tipton (Jerry Tipton); her grandchildren Michael Ziraldo (Liz Ziraldo), James Ziraldo (Tina Ziraldo), Anthony D’Elia (Mindi D’Elia), Nicole Loupe (Joseph Loupe), Kevin Kennedy (Heather Kennedy), Brian Kennedy (Marie Kennedy), Cortney Domm (Darrin Domm), and Ryan Kirkpatrick; and her greatgrandchildren Aley Underhill (Matthew Underhill), Erik Ziraldo, Talon Ziraldo, Trinity Ziraldo, Colin Loupe, Reid Loupe and Audrey Loupe.

Dorothy Briles Apgar

Dorothy B. Apgar, 95, of Marshalltown, IA, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016, at Grandview Heights Rehab and Healthcare, in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 16, 2016, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, in Marshalltown. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 15, 2016, at Anderson Funeral Home, 405 W. Main St., Marshalltown. Interment will be in the Apgar Family burial plot, at Riverside Cemetery, in Marshalltown. Born December 29, 1920 to Dessie and Charles Briles on a farm north of Ottawa, Kansas. Survived by her husband, Pat and a son, Tom Apgar both of Marshalltown. She was preceded in death by a son, John at age 28, and a sister, Beth.

Actor Charles Briles Dies, played Eugene Barkley on Big Valley

Charles Briles, actor and United States Veteran, passed away unexpectedly yesterday in Oregon. Charles played Eugene Barkley on the popular show Big Valley. Charles in the son of the late Rudolph Valentino & Emma Grey Briles. Funeral arrangements and memorial services are pending. Please check back for additional information.
