Good News! DCROD Vital Search is Back Online!
The Davidson County Register of Deeds Vital Records Search is back online and with a new look, policy changes. The old system, which allowed a registered user to view actual birth, death, and marriage record was taken down due to privacy concerns. According to the DCROD website, "This was necessary to protect the integrity of the data and to ensure that future data will not be at risk."
The new system is the exact same online records system the Guilford County ROD uses, however a user is not required to have a login or password. The system allows a user to view an index of birth, death and marriage records to include dates, but the actual record is not viewable.
You can still order a vital record through the DCROD online service for a nominal fee or visit their office at 203 W. 2nd Street in Lexington, NC. Access to public records in person are welcome. Due to COVID-19, we recommend you call the office to ensure walk-ins are welcome, call 336-242-2150.
