Lula Kathleen Floyd Hill Dies
The Briles Information Network has learned of the passing of Lula Kathleen "Kat" Floyd Hill, 75, of Trinity, who passed on October 5, 2009. Mrs. Hill is the daughter of the late Cicero and Lula Williams Floyd. Below is the death notice for Mrs. Hill.
TRINITY-Lula Kathleen "Kat" Floyd Hill, 75, passed Monday, October 05, 2009 at her residence. Funeral 2 pm Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Hopewell United Methodist Church; Rev. Toni Ruth Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church Cemetery. Born October 11, 1933 in Randolph County, daughter of the late Cicero and Lula Williams Floyd. Preceded in death by her husband Howard Hill on February 25, 1989 (m.August 16, 1952). She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Floyd, Helen Robbins and Ruth Royals; and three brothers, Paul Floyd, Cicero Floyd and Howard Floyd. Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Sims, of Trinity; grandson, Jason Sims, of Trinity; two sisters, Dorothy Brower and Jean Floyd, both of Trinity; a brother, Charlie Floyd and wife, Mildred, of Thomasville; two sisters-in-law, Maxine Floyd, of Thomasville, and Linda Sledge and husband, David, of High Point; and numerous nieces and nephews-Cumby

Famous Church Transcribed and Photographed!
The Briles Information Network, in conjunction with the Randolph County Gen Web, is pleased to announce the transcription of a very famous church in Trinity, NC. Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, now called Mt. Pleasant Community Church, has been transcribed and photographed by R. Trent Briles. Mt. Pleasant is located at 4713 Cashatt Rd in Trinity and has over 280 grave markers. The process was done by visiting the site and photographing every marker in the cemetery. No other source was used!
