Briles House Now Open

The Briles House in High Point is set to open it's doors on Saturday the 3rd of November. The Junior League of High Point will offer free tours beginning at 10 a.m. and will conclude at 2 p.m. The house was built by our Great Uncle, Lee Addision Briles, who was also the founder of the Hoover Hill Gold Mine in Randolph County. Lee's daughter, Ruth Briles, lived in the house until 2002 when she passed away. The house went under a major renovation over the past 2 years, but some of the original fixtures are still in place. The BIN will feature the Briles House, along with photographs of Lee and his family when the new BIN is presented on December 26th. You can contact the Junior League at 889-5479 if you have questions regarding the tours.
