Marie Small Freeman


Marie Small Freeman, 94, of Randleman passed away at home on February 28, 2024.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 6 to 8 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 600 S, Main St, Randleman. Funeral Services will be Monday, March 4, 2024 at 2 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jerry Mills, Reverend Jimmy Shirlen, and Reverend Jeff Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.

A native of Randolph County, raised in the Jackson Creek community, born to Reamy H & Eunice Pierce Small.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Talmadge Freeman; sisters, Ester Davidson, Ocia McDowell, Kate Skeen, Annie Mae Robbins, Kathleen Yow; brothers, Clay Small, Lloyd Small, Lindsay Small, and Hoyle Small.

She is survived by her son Jeff (Angie) Freeman and daughter, Cynthia (Richard) Ivey of Randleman. Grandchildren, Kim (Cash) Bowman of Climax. Wendy (Jeremy) Maness, Courtney (Brandon) McLeod & Jordan Freeman and Emma Motsinger of Randleman. Great grandchildren, Tyler Bowman, Jacob Bowman, Harrison Maness, Luke Maness, Levi Maness, and Cayla (DJ) Laxton. Sister, Alene Gallimore of Lexington, NC; brother, Everett “Buck” (Evelean) Small of Asheboro, NC.

Patty Lynn Kinley

 Patty Lynn Kinley, 69, of Denton, NC passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024, at Thomasville Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 29, at First Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Shane Smith.

Patty was born on June 11, 1954, in Davidson County, NC, the daughter of Lloyd Julius Kinley and Jimmie Whitted Kinley. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Louise Kinley Morris.

Surviving is her nephew, Bryan Hazelwood.

Vivian Lea Stewart

Vivian Lea Stewart, 71, of Jamestown, passed away, Monday, February 12, 2024, at High Point Regional Medical Center. 

A native of Guilford County, Vivian was born on August 5, 1952, a daughter of the late James Robert "Buster" Stewart and the late Ella Lea Briles Stewart. 

In addition to her parents, Vivian was preceded in death by her sister, Lisa Marie Shuster. 

At Vivian's request there will be no formal services held.

Carole Briles Passes

 

Carole Briles, age 81, passed away at McCormick’s Creek Healthcare Center on January 30, 2024. 

A visitation will be held at Allen Funeral Home (4155 S. Old State Road 37. Bloomington, IN 47401) on March 16, 2024 from 10am-12pm with a funeral service at 12pm officiated by Reverend Gregory Briles of Genesis Church and Reverend Ron Henson of Ellettsville First Assembly of God. Burial will follow at Flynn Cemetery at 1:30pm. 

She was born in Linton, IN, on August 13, 1942 to Edgar and Ruth Briles. Survivors include brothers Harold Briles and Roy (Lorna) Briles, nephews and nieces, Greg, Amanda, David Debbie, and Ty; and sister-in-law, Millie Briles. She was preceded in death by her youngest brother, William.
