Mr. Jack L Snider, 78, of Sexton Road, Denton, NC passed away on Wednesday, September 27 at the W G Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence. Funeral services will be held 3:00 Saturday, Sept. 30 at Gravel Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Reeves, Dr. Ron Chaney, and Rev. Gerald Ward presiding. Interment with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. Born September 18, 1939 in Randolph County to Walter Thomas Snider and Mary Trotter Snider. He was preceded in death by brothers, Dalton and John Snider and sisters, Dorothy White, Gladys Routh, Ruth Bradshaw, Colleen Apple, and Rachel Adams. Surviving is wife, Joyce Williams Snider of the home; daughters, Renee Nelson of Myrtle Beach, SC, LeAnn Richburg and husband Gary of Kemp, TX, and Brenda Allred and husband Wayne of Randleman; brothers, Eugene and Dewey Snider of Denton, and Clyatt Snider of Lexington; sister, Nancy Snider of Waynesboro, VA; 5 grandchildren, Landace Gillitzer and husband Jesse, Adam Richburg and wife Lauren, Chelsie Hulin, Jackson and Josie Allred; 5 great-grandchildren, Logan Mullins, Brandon Weaver, Emma Gillitzer, Moddee Hulin, and Katelyn Gillitzer.

Ellen Skeen Hepler, 90, Passes
Ellen Skeen Hepler, 90, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 in Kannapolis following several years of declining health. A Celebration of Ellen's life will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Oak Hill Memorial Baptist Church by Rev. Gary Myers. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The Family will receive friends at Thomasville Funeral Home Monday from 6 until 8 p.m. Born in Randolph County, October 21, 1926, a daughter of the late Cicero Skeen and Della Kinley Skeen, preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hepler, four sisters, Betty Hepler, Louetta Rothrock, Mae Grubb and Elsie Skeen, and three brothers, Paul, Olin and Elmer Skeen. Surviving are a son, Wayne Hepler; three grandchildren, Angela Jarrett and husband Joel, Ken Hepler and wife Rene and Melissa Brady and husband Cameron; eight great-grandchildren, Josh Hepler and wife Jennifer, Justin Hepler, Bradley Jarrett, Brooke Jarrett and Ryan Brady, Lexie Brown, Austin Brown and Eric Foster; a great-great-granddaughter, Skylar Hepler.
