Family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Thomasville Funeral Home. A Chapel Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Ferguson officiating. Interment will be at Holly Hill Memorial Park.Born November 8, 1929, in Surry County to the late Albert C. and Bessie Gamble Towe; preceded in death by her husband, Roy W. Holder; sisters, Barbara Cain, Pauline Floyd, Joyce Towe, Charcey Towe, Haver Riggs; brothers, Herbert Towe, Harvey Towe, Billy Towe; parents. Survived by her daughter, Phyllis Medlin; sisters, Vernell Goins and husband Ray of Mount Airy; brother, Charles Towe and wife Dare of King; grandchildren, Derek Medlin and wife Teresa of Thomasville, Tosha Medlin Briles and husband Trent of Trinity; great-grandchildren, Zachary Flowe, Cameron Jewel Briles of Trinity, Micheal Briles and wife Sydney and great-great-granddaughter, Braylin of Greensboro.

Dellmer Parrish Dies
THOMASVILLE-Dellmer Darrell Parrish, 84, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Graybrier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A celebration of life service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Faith Baptist Church, 902 Mendenhall Street, Thomasville, with Reverend Rodney Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park. He married Nancy Marie Carroll on December 23, 1948 who passed before him. Born on June 23, 1928 in Guilford County, a son of the late E. Rose and Mamie (Morris) Parrish. Survived by a daughter, Julli Barnes and her husband, Tony of Thomasville; two grandchildren, Donna Myers and her husband, Kevin of Thomasville, and Stephen Barnes and his wife, Amanda of Charleston, SC; a great granddaughter, Raychel Myers; a brother, Charles Thomas Parrish of Trinity; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Hope Tilliotson and Francis Goodson, and two brothers, Reitzel and Henry Parrish. No direct line to Briles.

RANDLEMAN-Mary Ruth Hunt Farlow, 64, of Randleman, passed Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013. Born Feb. 18, 1949, the daughter of Alson Ray and Swanna Ingram Hunt. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at Pugh Funeral Home in Randleman. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at Old Union United Methodist Church in Sophia, with the Rev. Nancy Krall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Native of Randolph County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Clarence Hunt. Survived by her husband, Eugene Farlow; children, Tina Whatley and her husband, Chuck, of Asheboro, Thomas Farlow and his wife, Johnda, of Robbins, and Abby Stinnett and her husband, Chris, of Randleman; grandchildren, Josh Holt, Tyler Whatley, Savannah Whatley, Charlie Whatley, all of Asheboro, Eli Farlow and Luke Farlow, both of Robbins, Jonathan Stinnett and Zachary Stinnett, both of Randleman; and mother-in-law, Mabel Farlow of Sophia, N.C.

Lois Snider Floyd, age 95, died Tuesday, February 12 at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton. Funeral service will be 3:30 pm Saturday, February 16 at Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Sharon Lee and Rev. Benny Clodfelter officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Friday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. Born March 16, 1917 in Davidson County to W. Jones and Effie Dare Ingram Snider. She was married to Marshall W. Floyd who died October 30, 1991. She was also preceded in death by brothers, T. V. Snider, Dawson Snider and Scott Snider and sisters, Sallie Sexton, Frances Cox, Hilda Younts and Pollyanna Henson. Survived by one daughter Margaret Floyd Harris and husband Steve of Denton, one brother, Harold Snider and wife Winifred of Liberty and one sister, Ella Mae Beck of Lexington, two grandchildren Jason Harris and wife Carmen of Durham and Joanna Stone and husband Jay of Hagerstown, Maryland, four great-grandchildren, Hannah Lois Stone, Camden Allen Stone, Landon Marshall Harris and Reedling Zelle Harris She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Native of Randolph County and a U.S. Army veteran; preceded in death by parents Numie & Ida Briles Wood and his sisters, Faye Byrum and Verlie Loflin. Survived by sons, Tony Wood and his wife Nanette of Asheboro, Tim Wood and his wife Lisa of Franklin, TN; grandchildren, Julie and Jordan Wood of Asheboro, Justin and Brittany Wood of Franklin, TN; sister, Clara Loflin of Trinity; nephew, Randy Loflin and his wife Vivian of Trinity; nieces, Sherri Freeland and her husband Mike of Wilkesboro, Regina Poole and her husband Jackie of Denton.

He is survived by parents, Jerry Dennis and Terri Briles; brother, Shawn Aubrey; sisters, Sherry Cox, Tish Frum, Amanda Jo Briles and Tammy Montgomery; the mother of his children, Libby; his three children, Haylea, Taylor and Tylor; and a host of aunts, uncles and friends.
His funeral service will be noon Wednesday, at W. G. Hardy Funeral Home, with burial following in Bethany Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, 3-8 p.m and on Tuesday, noon - 8 p.m. at the funeral home
