Born on March 10, 1929, in Bladen County, North Carolina to the late William and Estelle Hill. In addition to her parents and husband Wallace E Briles (m.November 20, 1948), Gladys is preceded in death by her brother, William "Bill" Hill, her son, William "Paul" Briles, and her grandson, Laine Philip Moore. She is survived by her loving sister and caretaker, Evelyn Hill Hester, of Trinity, N.C.; her son and caretaker, Wallace E. "Gene" Briles, of Archdale, N.C.; her daughter and son-in-law, Joseph and Ollie Ward Thompson of Hebron, MD; her daughter, Patricia Briles of Salisbury, MD; and her daughter-in law, Rita Briles, of Largo, FL. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Janice Zachary of Archdale, N.C., and Mary Carol Forkner of Asheboro, N.C. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Glenn Briles (Julie), Jeannie Scott (Billy), Dennis Briles, Sarah Edwards (Jason), Adrienne Hamby (Brannon), Samantha Chesley (Tim), AJ Campbell (Heather), Jennifer Hasenei (Tyler), Bradley Moore, Belle Moore and 22 great grandchildren.

Gladys Hill Briles
Gladys Hill Briles, age 88, of Trinity, North Carolina, passed away at her home on February 1, 2018. A service to celebrate Gladys'life will be held on Tuesday, February 6th, at 2 pm, in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, with Pastor Carl Pulliam and Mrs. Rita Briles officiating. Interment will follow in Randolph Memorial Park Cemetery. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:45 until 1:45 pm at the funeral home.

Dolores "Dee" Ann Calhoun Briles
Dolores "Dee" Ann Calhoun Briles, 83, passed away January 30, 2018. Services will be at Arlington United Methodist Church (1820 Arlington Road) visitation for public will be from 4-8 pm on Friday February 2nd and church service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday February 3rd . Rev. Robert Ostermier, former pastor and friend will be the officiate. Burial will be at Valhalla following the church service.
Born on July 18, 1934 in Farmers City, Illinois. She was the daughter of Glen and Mary Brooks Calhoun. Dee is survived by her husband John Briles to whom she has been married to for 60 years. The family included two sons Kevin (Terri) and Craig (Marci), the pride and loves of her life. In addition to her sons are her grandchildren; Travis, Josh, Ben, Nick, Max, Jona, Mackenzie and Brandi (Shawn Langley). Then she found room to love the three great grandchildren Nick, Brenna and Ryan Langley. Also surviving is her sister-in-law Jo Calhoun of Georgetown, Texas.
