Lillian Lucille Spencer
Lillian Lucille Spencer passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Skeet Club Manor where she had been a resident for the last two years. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 29 at 1 pm at Poplar Ridge Friends Meeting with Reverend Dr. Brian Donley and Pastor David Mercadante officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.Born on July 26, 1922 in High Point to the late George Washington Spencer and the late Flossie Farlow Spencer. In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by three sisters, Eula Spencer Savage, Ruth Spencer Ward, and Pearl Spencer Hill. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Cicero Henry Spencer. Survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. -Cumby F.H.

Evelyn Skeen Rothrock Hill
Evelyn Skeen Rothrock Hill, 78, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. Graveside funeral services will be on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. M.F. Morton officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville. Born on May 23, 1935 in Davidson County to Howard and Louetta Skeen Rothrock. She was preceded in death by her daughter Eugenia Hill and her husband Douglas Eugene Hill. Surviving are her daughter, Robin Hill McLain and husband Michael of Thomasville, son, Douglas Allen Hill, wife Glenda, and family of Trinity, sisters, Edna Campbell of Thomasville and Ellen Alexander of Lexington, and grandson Dr. Michael McLain, Jr., Ph.D.

James Junior Hulin, age 76, a resident of Pine Ridge Health and Rehab, passed away in the Thomasville Medical Center, Friday Feb 28, 2014. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 3, 2014 at 2 P.M. in J.C. Green & Sons Chapel with Rev. Myra Ward-Brown and Rev. Jack Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Thomasville. Born June 4, 1937 in Randolph Co. NC, son of the late Jim Hulin and Nellie Mae Loflin Hulin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Jarrett and a brother, Bobby Hulin. On July 4, 1954 he was married to Sylvia Hooks Hulin, who died January 26, 2012. Surviving are daughters, Carolyn Curry and husband Marvin and Cindy Rose and husband Joey, both of Archdale and Jamie Tucker and husband Paul of Thomasville; sisters, Patsy Shaw and husband Larry of Randleman, Shirley Jester of Trinity and Dorothy Floyd of Thomasville; eight grandchildren, Jordan Rose, Eden Latham, Scott Howard, Tim Davenport, Angie Hunt, Crystal Rowe, Jeff Jarrett and Burl Davenport; and seven great-grandchildren.
