Bernice Maie Skeen Miller Passes

Bernice Maie Skeen Miller, 84, passed Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Randolph Hospice House. A celebration of Mrs. Miller's life will be held at 2 pm Monday, April 27th at God's Harvest Worship Center, 509 Cloninger Drive, Thomasville, with Pastor Joe Bean and Pastor Eddie Mishoe officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Born on April 11, 1931 in Randolph County to the late Paul Jordan and Eudora Maie Albertson Skeen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Carlas Thompson and a brother, Jasper Richardson Skeen. Surviving are her husband of over 52 years, Johnnie Miller of the home; children, Annette Turbyfill and her husband Joe of Trinity and Roger Thompson and his wife Jean of Nashville, NC; four grandchildren, Heather Leigh Jackson, Christopher Carl Thompson, Jared Lee Turbyfill, and Justin Allen Turbyfill; four great grandchildren, Robby Carol Shaw, Angel Elizabeth Shaw, William Thomas Jackson, and Weston Atlas Thompson; and her sister, Marie Brewer of Southmont.

Billy Ray Summey Dies, Grandmother is Elsie Briles

Billy Ray Summey, 63, died peacefully Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center.  A funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015 in the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel 122 W. Main St. Thomasville with the Rev. David Washburn officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 22, 2015 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Born December 8, 1951 in Davidson County a son of the late Calvin Lee Summey and Lois Gordon Summey. Surviving are his sons, Sam Summey and his fiancĂ©, Amanda Clark of Thomasville and Jay Lee Summey of Thomasville. One sister, Kathy Ernest and husband James of Fort Mill, South Carolina; two brothers, Wayne Summey and wife Brenda of Lexington and Kenneth Summey and wife Patsy of Thomasville; two grandchildren, Allyson Lee Summey and Rhianna Brooke Summey and several nieces and nephews. 


Mr. Summey's grandmother is Elsie Briles Summey.

Albert Clemon (AC) Kindley, Jr. Dies

Albert Clemon (AC) Kindley, Jr., 70, passed Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Mr. Jerry Jarrell officiating. Born on November 11, 1944 in Randolph County, NC to the late Albert Clemon Kindley, Sr. and Dorothy Miller Kindley. He was preceded in death by his father, and a brother, Darryl Kindley. On February 18, 1985, he married Linda Marie Hodges, who survives of the home; also surviving are 3 sons, Albert Kindley, III, Tim Kindley, and David Kindley; 3 daughters, Annette, Angela Prichard, and Sandra Hunt; his mother, Dorothy Miller Kindley; his brother, James Kindley; his sisters, Brenda Jarrell and husband Jerry, Barbara Riffe and husband Marcus, Sylvia York and husband Darrell, Irene Land and husband Kenny, Donna McDonald, and Elizabeth Lilly and husband Rodney; and numerous grandchildren.
